Bulk Calla Lily Care

Follow these simple steps to ensure your bulk calla lilies have had proper care before using in your floral designs.

Bulk Calla Lily Care

  • Prepare clean buckets and/ or vases with 3/8” of water and add flower food.
  • Carefully remove the calla stems from their packaging and cut approximately 1/2” off of the bottom of the stems with a sharp, non-serrated knife.
  • Leave stem bands on the callas for at least 4 hours. Proper hydration can take up to 8 hours.Once the callas have properly hydrated cut the bands.
    • Calla stems are made up of approximately 95% water. Limiting the amount of water you place in the buckets or vases is very important.
  • Store the callas in a cool, well-ventilated area that is away from direct sunlight or heat.
    • It is recommended that the blooms are stored at temperatures below 65°F until needed for designing.
  • The bottom of the calla stem may turn brown or splinter. This is perfectly normal. Trim the bottom of the stems just above the area of the discoloration and/or splintering.
