Calla Lily Bouquet Care

Follow these four simple steps to care for your calla lily bouquet.

  1. Remove all packaging from the bouquet. Do not remove the tape wrapped around the stems of the bouquet at this time.
  2. Fill vase with 3/8” of water and add plant food.
  3. With a sharp non-serrated knife, cut approximately 1/2” off of the bottom of the stem and place callas in vase immediately after cutting.
    • Calla lily stems are made up of approximately 95% water. Limiting the amount of water you place in the vase is very important.
  4. Leave tape on stems for 4-8 hours until the callas have had proper time to hydrate.

To ensure longevity of your bouquet…Calla Lily Bouquet Care

  •  Keep your calla lilies away from drafts, direct sunlight and excessive heat or cold.
  • Change water when needed or every 2-3 days.
    • Before placing your bouquet back in the vase, trim approximately ¼” to ½” off the stem.
  • The bottoms of the calla lily stems may turn brown or splinter over time. Trim the bottom of the stems just above the area of the discoloration and/or splintering.

I love growing calla lillys !!
They are so beautiful….I have never cut them and displayed them. I am nervous about distributing my plants. Thanks so much for the advice.
